What You'll NEVER Find in Our Products
We've carefully excluded ingredients commonly avoided in modern dermatology and cosmetic science because they can contribute to irritation, barrier disruption, and long-term sensitivity.
❌ Parabens
Why we avoid them: Parabens (methylparaben, propylparaben, butylparaben) are preservatives linked to potential hormone disruption. While debate continues about their safety, we prefer to use alternative, proven-safe preservatives.
❌ Sulfates (SLS/SLES)
Why we avoid them: Sodium Lauryl Sulfate and Sodium Laureth Sulfate are harsh detergents that strip skin of its natural oils, leading to dryness, irritation, and a compromised skin barrier—especially problematic for sensitive or aging skin.
❌ Phthalates
Why we avoid them: Often hidden in "fragrance," phthalates are endocrine disruptors linked to reproductive and developmental concerns. We keep them far away from our formulas.
❌ Synthetic Fragrances
Why we avoid them: "Fragrance" or "parfum" on ingredient lists can contain hundreds of undisclosed chemicals, many of which are common irritants and allergens. Our products rely on naturally derived scents or are fragrance-free.
❌ Formaldehyde & Formaldehyde-Releasing Agents
Why we avoid them: Ingredients like DMDM hydantoin, diazolidinyl urea, and quaternium-15 release small amounts of formaldehyde—a known irritant and potential carcinogen. Not in our bottles.
❌ Harsh Drying Alcohols
Why we avoid them: Denatured alcohol, SD alcohol, and alcohol denat can strip and dehydrate skin, disrupting the moisture barrier and causing long-term sensitivity. (Note: fatty alcohols like cetyl and stearyl alcohol are skin-friendly and are sometimes used in our formulations for texture.)
❌ Silicones (Dimethicone, Cyclopentasiloxane)
Why we avoid them: While silicones provide a smooth feel, they can trap dirt and oil, clog pores, and prevent skin from breathing naturally. We prefer breathable, skin-nourishing alternatives.
❌ Synthetic Dyes & Colorants
Why we avoid them: Artificial colors (like FD&C and D&C dyes) serve no purpose for skin health and can cause irritation or allergic reactions. Our serums are their natural color—no artificial enhancements needed.
❌ Mineral Oil & Petrolatum
Why we avoid them: Petroleum-derived ingredients sit on top of skin rather than nourishing it. We use plant-based oils that actually feed and support your skin barrier.
❌ Talc
Why we avoid them: Talc has been linked to contamination concerns (like asbestos) and can be irritating to skin and lungs. We opt for safer alternatives.
❌ Triclosan & Triclocarban
Why we avoid them: These antibacterial agents disrupt hormones and contribute to antibiotic resistance. Banned in many countries—and not welcome here.
❌ Chemical Sunscreen Filters (Oxybenzone, Octinoxate, Avobenzone)
Why we avoid them: These UV filters are linked to hormone disruption, coral reef damage, and skin irritation. If we formulate sun care products in the future, we'll use mineral (zinc oxide) alternatives.
❌ Polyethylene Glycols (PEGs)
Why we avoid them: PEGs can be contaminated with harmful byproducts like ethylene oxide and 1,4-dioxane. We choose cleaner, safer alternatives.
What We DO Use
Instead of fillers and questionable chemicals, we choose ingredients your skin recognizes and thrives on:

✅ Vitamin C (Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate) – Brightens and evens skin tone
✅ Hyaluronic Acid (Sodium Hyaluronate) – Deeply hydrates and plumps
✅ Botanical Extracts (Chamomile, Orange) – Soothe and protect with antioxidants
✅ Niacinamide – Calms redness and strengthens the skin barrier
✅ Natural Preservatives – Keep formulas safe without harsh chemicals
